Today we visited Africa Bridges of Hope which was started by Meddie and Sarah Mugoya who are fellow members of First Presbyterian Church of Midland.Their areas of operation include vocational training, discipleship training and child welfare. They concentrate their efforts on helping the less fortunate youth of the community by teaching them trades such as sewing, knitting, as well as shoe and jewelry making. Not only were they taught these trades but also taught how to sustain a business selling their crafts. We were very inspired by how they incorporated spiritual welfare along with business intellect. By teaching them these trades along with dependence on God they are able to sustain themselves in this society in a much more efficient manner. It is apparent that the staff running this organization are there first and foremost for the glory of God.
